Voiceover Workshops

We are very pleased to once again be working with Katie and Ruth from Reel Voices London (https://www.reelvoiceslondon.co.uk/). We will be running a number of voiceover workshops, some in person and some online, over the coming weeks. The in person workshops will be held in the BECS training suite in Plouviez House, 19-20 Hatton Place, London, EC1N 8RU.

Please see below for full details and please reply to this email to let us know if you would like to attend. Places will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Voiceover Crash Course (2 hours plus a 30-minute Webinar)

Our very popular Crash Course provides industry-ready skills and key tools for the actor who wishes to work in commercial voiceover. Each participant will be sent a free 30-minute webinar (usually priced at £50 to be watched ahead of the Workshop (and will be available to them thereafter). Here we outline the industry, the necessity of an excellent voice reel, and we will cover numerous techniques that break down the ‘mystery’ behind professional microphone technique.

Participants will then attend a 2-hour workshop where we will help them identify their natural voice character and quality whilst exploring the techniques introduced in the webinar. We will read numerous commercial scripts and encourage peer review and an increased awareness of objectivity towards participant’s own voices and those in the group. We will also be on hand for a Q&A about getting started (or restarted) in the industry, leaving participants with an improved confidence and awareness of their voice and voiceover skills to take the next step of creating a voice reel or approaching agents.
